Yeah, I'd welcome that too.
Although I would point out that it's not Blizzard's idea. Security dongles have been around for a very long time, and Blizzard's is just a dumbed down version of the SecurID-style tokens.

Other Idea; On World of Warcraft they have an Anti-Hack system now. You can buy a little code thingy for a few euro's/dollars. You can connect that little code thingy to your World of Warcraft account. When you want to login the little code thingy gives you a code. That you need to fill in. You also need to fill in your password.
So if you want to login you NEED that little code thingy. If you lost it. You need to send some account information to Arenanet (Like your activation codes or something).
So a hacker first needs to steal that little code thingy from you if he wants to hack you. So it is almost impossible. Quite good idea from Blizzard imo.

I literally have like, 45 of these.
I go to BlizzCon every year and they give those things out like candy. Since I don't WoW, I never use them. They've just been accumulating, and they're the collector's edition ones that only are supplied at BlizzCon. I'd love to use them for something, so an idea like this would work. But, if you lose it, you're kind of SOL. A lot of people don't keep activation codes, so you could essentially lose your account forever just because you lost something. That would suck.

/Notsigned. Why not just stop downloading porn and buy a good antivirus? If there are keyloggers, spyware, etc. on your machine than it is after all your fault. This seems like to much trouble for Anet to install into a game a special way to try and keep your account safe, and for the most part if you're not buying and selling accounts/Giving away personal info/Real world trading you should have no issues. If Anet were to install something like this there would be a lot of issues for the first few months and it would just cause grief. So that's why I say /no to this idea.

Typical moronic guru head-in-the-sand response.
If you use the web AT ALL you can get a keylogger or other malware.
If you use email, you can get a keylogger or malware.
If your friends are not so careful, they can get malware and pass it onto you by email, and you may just open/run it because it appeared to come from a friend.
Any number of ways you can get malware. If it ever happens, you better PRAY it's something old that your security software can recognise and deal with. (I realise it's difficult to pray with your head in the sand).
Of course, now you'll say, oh but why would Mr Keylogger want my GW account instead of my bank account? They couldn't be interested in everything I do, could they? They couldn't be part of a syndicate or ring, they couldn't pass on your details to whichever of them specialises in games RMT, could they? They couldn't get my account details for one thing and run a batch "try it on everything and see if the same details are used somewhere else", could they? No of course not, so stick your head back in the sand.
